- The bus is electrically isolated and galvanically isolated according to EN 61131-2.
- Supports firmware updates, identification data I&M0 to I&M4, configuration in RUN mode, diagnostic alarms and diagnostic interrupts.
PM power supply module provides efficient, stable, and reliable 24 V DC power supply for CPU/IM, I/O modules, PS power supplies, etc.
- Input 120V/230V AC adaptive, adaptable to power supply networks around the world.
- Input 120V/230V AC adaptable to power supply networks around the world. Input over-voltage resistance and output over-voltage protection improve system operation.
- The start-up and buffering capacity of the system enhances system stability.
- Advanced circuit design and high-quality electronic devices ensure the high reliability of the power supply.
- SELV compliance enhances the application of the S7-1500 PLC.
- Excellent EMC compatibility, fully compliant with the TIA integration test requirements for S7-1500 PLC systems.
SIMATIC PM 1507 Single-Phase
The SIMATIC PM 1507 single-phase load power supply (PM = power module) features automatic input voltage range selection. Its design and functionality are ideally suited to SIMATIC S7-1500 PLCs, as it supplies power to S7-1500 system components such as the CPU, system power supply (PS), I/O circuits for input and output modules, etc.; it can also provide 24 VDC power to sensors and actuators, if necessary.
Design
These load power supplies can be fixed directly to the S7-1500 mounting rails (not connected to the backplane bus) and can be mounted directly to the left side of the CPU (no mounting clearance required)
Status and troubleshooting display LEDs: running, fault, standby
ON/OFF switch for module replacement (run/standby)
Power connection plug with touch protection, input cable connection via cable elastic (fixed wiring possible)
Plug-in 24 V DC output terminal with reverse polarity protection for connection of 24 V loads (fixed wiring possible)
Functions
Connection to all 50/60 Hz (120 / 230 V AC) single-phase grids via automatic range switching
Short-time power buffering
Output of 24 V DC voltage limited to a maximum of 28 V DC (prevents damage to 24 V loads caused by excessive voltage)
50% “extra power” for 5 seconds per minute for short-time overloads, e.g. when switching 24 V power supplies
Two load supplies can be connected in parallel to increase performance
Overview of the SIMATIC S7-1500
Power supplies for the SIMATIC S7-1500
Used to convert AC or DC supply voltages to the required operating voltage for internal circuits
25 W or 60 W output power
Available for S7-1500 or ET 200MP
Configuration via STEP 7 V12 and higher models
APPLICATIONS
The power supply (PS) powers the internal circuits of the S7-1500 module via the backplane bus. These power supplies are used, for example, if the power supplied to the backplane bus by the CPU or interface module is not sufficient to power all connected modules or if more than one power supply segment should be implemented in the S7-1500 configuration or in the distributed configuration of the ET 200MP.
Design
The power supplies are screwed directly to the S7-1500 mounting rails and are connected to the upstream or downstream modules via U-connectors.
The front of the power supply includes:
Status and fault diagnostic display LEDs
Fault (Error), Run (RUN), Maintenance (MAINT)
The power supply also includes:
On/Off switch
Power terminals
Function
Characteristics:
Rated input voltage depending on module type
Output power dependent on module type
Power buffering
Implemented with bus
