The EM 253 is a functional module for simple positioning tasks (1 axis). It can be connected to stepper motors and servo motors and to servo drives via frequency pulse inputs from the Micro Stepper.

The EM 253 positioning module is mounted in the same way as an expansion module and is connected to the S7-200 expansion bus via an integrated connection cable.

After connection, the configuration data is read out automatically from the CPU.

The module has the following features:

-For 5-bit inputs from process signals

-24 pulse outputs directly from the drive (forward/backward or speed/direction)
